About Cavalor Derma Wash

The skin is your horse's first line of defence. Cavalor Derma Wash helps 'good' bacteria gain a foothold in the skin's microbiome and multiply quickly, while inhibiting the adhesion of external organisms — preventing and alleviating significant skin problems.

The formula contains various strains of Bacillus species added in spore form — a dormant state that activates on contact with the horse's skin, textiles or leather. Prebiotics (inulin) specifically stimulate these good bacteria so they continue working long-term, resulting in healthy microflora that protects the skin against external invaders.

Unlike traditional disinfectant shampoos, Cavalor Derma Wash keeps skin hydrated. It is pH neutral — avoiding the drying effects of low-pH human shampoos and the coat-dulling effects of high-pH strong cleansers.

Directions for Use

1. Apply approximately 30 ml of Cavalor Derma Wash in a bucket of lukewarm water.
2. Apply directly to the whole body or affected skin with a sponge.
3. Allow to soak for a short while.
4. Rinse carefully with water afterwards.

Tip: Pre-Clipping

Wash your horse with Cavalor Derma Wash before clipping. The pH-neutral formula disinfects without drying the skin, and the added glycerol conditions the coat — making clipping easier and more efficient.
